1989 OLDSMOBILE Eighty-Eight Royale, V-6

EIGHTY-EIGHT ROYALE — SERIES 3H — V-6 — As of 1989, the former Delta 88 Royale was renamed the Eighty-Eight Royale. The Eighty-Eight name-plate observed its 40th Anniversary in this year, which saw only minor refinements to Oldsmobile's family sedan. The Eighty-Eight was again offered in both coupe and sedan versions in base and Brougham trim. Identifying graphics were simplified to modernize appearance both inside and out. Other design departures included: hood ornament deleted, radio antenna relocated to right rear, new bin-type glovebox, new all-red taillamps and body color instead of bright interior door trim. In addition, Eighty-Eight Brougham models received color coordinated rear view mirrors and trunk lid release as standard equipment.
