TORONADO — SERIES 3E — V-6 — Oldsmobile's personal luxury car, the Toronado and its spin-off Trofeo received several revisions for 1989. The Toronado featured a new engine mounting system, new oil level sensor to monitor upkeep without raising the hood, monochromatic paint, new seat fabrics and dark trim plates. The Trofeo's new features included: four-lamp high-beam headlamp system, body color front air dam and rocker extensions, engine mounting system and oil level sensor. New standard equipment for the Toronado included: body color side moldings, bucket seats and console, floor mats and 15-inch aluminum wheels.
