ROADMASTER - SERIES 4B - V-8 - In its final year of production, all Roadmaster models came with a Collector's Edition designation in their stand-up hood ornaments. The lineup again consisted of base and Limited sedans and base and Limited station wagons. New standard items included the OBD II on-board diagnostics, clamshell-style armrest with storage for the 55/45 split-bench front seat and Convenience Plus electrical features. All Road-masters again used the LT1 5.7-liter V-8 mated to the 4T60-E electronically controlled four-speed automatic transmission with overdrive. When Roadmaster production ended, the GM plant in Arlington, Texas, where the full-size, rear-drive cars were assembled was converted to truck production.
