1996 OLDSMOBILE Aurora, V-8

AURORA — SERIES 3G — V-8 — In its first full year of sales in 1995, Oldsmobile's Aurora outsold all the other makes in its market segment as well as garnering over 20 automotive awards. Not resting on those laurels, the 1996 Aurora offered several improvements over the previous year's model. Included in the upgrades were the addition of daytime running lamps, a more responsive ride and handling package, backlight glass rid of distortion, the addition of both a universal theft-deterrent system and universal garage door opener and refined keyless entry system and interior lighting system. New-for-1996 options were chrome-plated aluminum road wheels and gold graphics package. Standard powertrain was the 32-valve, dual overhead-cam 4.0-liter V-8 linked to a four-speed automatic transaxle.
