1996 OLDSMOBILE LSS, V-6

LSS — SERIES 3Y — V-6 — Marketed as a “blood brother” to the Aurora, the Oldsmobile LSS touring sedan severed its association with the Eighty-Eight family and went it alone in 1996. The LSS featured new exterior design details including foglamps and 16-inch wheels to help identify it with the Aurora. Inside, front and rear seats featured articulated head rests like the Aurora, and the LSS offered rear seat pass-through for added convenience. New features included magnetic variable-assist rack and pinion steering and refined programmable door locks and remote keyless entry system. New standard equipment included twilight sentinel and daytime running lamps. Standard powertrain was the 205-hp Series II 3.8-liter V-6 coupled to an electronically-controlled four-speed automatic transaxle.
