1996 OLDSMOBILE Ninety-Eight, V-6

NINETY-EIGHT REGENCY — SERIES 3C — V-6 — The Ninety-Eight lineup for 1996 again consisted of only the Regency Elite sedan offered, as it was the year before, with two levels of equipment: Series I and Series II. In Series I trim, the Regency Elite sedan's standard offerings included air conditioning, anti-lock brakes, dual airbags and leather trim (velour upholstery was available). When Series II equipment was ordered, the Ninety-Eight also featured traction control, electronic instrumentation cluster, memory controls for the driver's seat, automatic trunk pull-down, electrochromic heated outside mirror on the driver's side and cornering lamps. Refinements were done to the interior lighting, locking and security features, and standard was twilight sentinel with daytime running lamps.
