1999 OLDSMOBILE Intrigue

INTRIGUE — SERIES 3W — V-6 — The Intrigue lineup again contained three trim levels of sedan, but the former base model was renamed the GX and added to the existing GL and GLS models. A noticeable change occurred in the way the previously almost anonymous sedans were now badged. Oldsmobile script was added to the Intrigue's decklid while the GL and GLS sedans added specific model badging to their front fenders. The other big change occurred under the hood of the GLS. Standard engine for that model was nowthe all-new, 215-horsepower dual overhead cam 3.5-liter V-6, which replaced the formerly used 3.8-liter V-6. The 3.5-liter engine was also phased in during the 1999 model year production run as optional equipment on both the GX and GL sedans, which continued to use the 3.8-liter V-6 as their standard power source.
